"The food was okay, but the entertainment made the experience worthwhile. I’m not sure all the staff speak English and service was not great. We visited on a Wednesday and it wasn’t crowded so maybe the best staff are there on weekends. If you are in Athens, don’t miss the chance to see the show and order a Greek salad. It was delicious!"

"Great experience! We had dinner at the restaurant, came around 8 pm, the music started at 8:30 pm, and the show was between 9-10:30 pm (dancing and singing). We loved it! And the food is also good (we had a Greek salad and chicken suvlaki)."

"Summer 2025: we came to Athens with a group of 40 people - teenagers and adults. Visiting the Tavern was one of the highlights of our trip. The experience really brought out the best in our teens. New food, the traditional music and dancing, breaking plates, singing on stage - it was a most memorable night. The appetizers and dinner were okay, not great, and some of it was really ick (dry chicken skewers with green peppers) or not "traditional" at all (Ore-Ida smiley fries??); the dessert, however, was great! The place was crowded as it was a full house that evening, so there wasn't a lot of room to move about. The waitstaff was constantly in motion, but getting their attention was not easy if we needed anything. The water closets were small but clean. The one bad thing that stands out is that the dining chairs was soooo uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that I could never truly enjoy myself. The seats of the chairs were way too small and hard for any adult sized body. I couldn't wait until I could stand up and move around. In the end, the kids had a blast. They still talk about this night 6 months later. It was a nice experience, but I don't think we would go back again. Thanks for the memories!"

"Great shows! You can come for dinner and a show, or drinks, dessert, fruit and the show. Very interactive, lots of fun! They dance with candles, break plates, dance through the whole room. In 2022, the restaurant honored my wife and I with an announcement of our 19th wedding anniversary, and they invited us to dance onstage to a song together. My friends and students love coming here. Excellent food as well!"

"We had a great time visiting this Greek show, food was very good prepared, location is close to city centre, just we expected more from plates show. I made reservation stating my fiancé has a b day and we celebrate anniversary, he was looking forward participating in the show but it didn’t happen. There were bunch of kids, high school excursions I think and we expected a bit more, it turned out to be a kids party. Other than that, service was good"

"So much fun! If you can fit it in, it is a great Greek experience. Good food to try and authentic dances. There are several courses so they serve rapidly. It feels a bit rushed. You are invited to join the dancing. There are no expectations that you know how to dance. It is more fun if you join in at least once."

"We went there because locals told us we had to visit one of the taverns. A few days before our visit, I found the place and spoke to a man inside who told us on which days they would have a show and that I should make a reservation. We were informed about the minimum consumption price. When we went, everything was exactly as he had explained. The food was really good, and the performance was nice and entertaining — I think the program lasted a full two hours. Everyone in the hall enjoyed it. There was also a group of teenagers, so the place and the program are suitable for all ages."

"We enjoyed this show and the food. Yes - a bit cheesy but the no question that it is entertaining... and different than just going to a restaurant. So, sit back and get into the fun. The dancing was great considering they are on a small stage. There's a great singer who sang traditional music as well as modern sing along songs to get the crowd into it. A cute story -- one of the dancers in costume was behind me so I thought I'd get a selfie with her. She saw what i was doing and waved! Then, she and another dancer popped up behind me so my husband took our pic. The dancers are engaging and having fun. So, get into the spirit and have a fun evening. OPA!!!"
